Thursday’s roundtable with DataSentics, an Eviden business, delivered exactly what we expect from such meetings. No hype. Just what can already be running in production today.
Tibor Mach from DataSentics presented the Tech Buddy application – an intelligent assistant that helps technicians service heat pumps. It provides an intuitive task dashboard, works with documentation, manuals, history, and anomalies. Not only does it advise, but it also learns from mistakes.
What was discussed in the debate?
- In companies, there is a lot of data, specific to their business.
- The hardest part is finding the right “use case” – one that makes sense and has an impact.
- It’s not enough to “deploy a model.” You need to know why, have the data ready, and understand the decisions that AI is meant to support.
And most importantly: set up control and risk management mechanisms. Without them, AI isn’t help, but a risk.
Today, everywhere we see discussions: AI is supposed to save everything.
But that’s not how it works. We’re not in China, where hundreds of factories are built every year.
