We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Proxy Product Owner to join the development of a new core system for one of the largest logistics companies in Europe.
This is a large-scale transformation program in which we are gradually replacing the legacy monolithic system with a modern solution built on microservices and event-driven architecture. The system covers key logistics processes – ranging from orders, rail, and road transport to terminals and depots.
We are seeking someone who can bridge the gap between business, processes, and IT & translate business needs into high-quality requirements for the development team, and take ownership of their area.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Business Requirements Analysis: Analyzing business requirements and translating them into clear specifications for the development team.
-
Requirements Decomposition: Decomposing requirements into epics, user stories, and actionable deliverables.
-
Backlog Management: Managing and continuously refining the backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.
-
Proxy Product Owner Role: Daily communication with the development team, clarifying requirements, and supporting decision-making.
-
Process Analysis: Analyzing complex processes and their interdependencies across various parts of the system.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with analysts, architects, developers, testers, and other program teams.
-
Integration Scenarios: Collaborating on integration scenarios across different domains and external systems.
-
Agile Ceremonies: Actively participating in agile ceremonies, refinement, planning, and demos.
-
System Transformation: Supporting the gradual transformation of the legacy monolithic solution into a microservices and event-driven architecture.
What We Expect:
-
Senior-level experience in business/systems analysis on large-scale software projects.
-
Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable development requirements.
-
Experience in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
-
Ability to navigate complex systems with extensive process and integration dependencies.
-
Technical domain knowledge—you do not need to be a developer, but concepts like APIs, integration interfaces, events, message brokers, or microservices should be familiar to you.
-
Independence, strong follow-through, and a proactive approach to gathering information.
-
Excellent communication skills—you will serve as the primary bridge between business and IT.
-
Professional fluency in Czech; English is an advantage.
-
Nice to have:
-
Experience as a Proxy Product Owner or Product Owner.
-
Experience with logistics, transport, or other complex enterprise systems.
-
Proficiency with Jira / Confluence.
-
Experience with integration or event-driven architecture.
-
Experience in agile development within large-scale programs involving multiple dev teams.
-
What We Offer:
-
Direct involvement in the digital transformation of a core system for a major European logistics company.
-
A high-impact project covering enterprise-wide core processes, not just an isolated application.
-
The opportunity to shape the final solution and influence how individual processes operate.
-
Collaboration with experienced analysts, architects, developers, and domain specialists.
-
An environment offering strong professional growth across analytical, product, and technical domains.
-
Hybrid Work Model: 2 days a week in Prague (Uhříněves / Pankrác), 3 days remote.
